The annual Opening Day Parade will be on Saturday March 17, 2020. This is a wonderful community event to celebrate our local youth athletes. Starting at 9:00, Northgate Blvd. will be closed off at West El Camino Ave. to Rio Tierra Blvd. until 10:00. Our local softball and baseball youth leagues will have floats and banners and will be joined by Aztec Dancers and classic cars. The parade ends at Rio Tierra Jr. High where the first pitch will be thrown and activities, including bounce houses, will be available for all family members. Interested in helping out? Please contact Richard Sanders at 916-704-3070. Volunteers are needed to watch the barricades during the parade, helping to clean up, and monitor bounce houses among other opportunities. I hope to see you on March 14th as we celebrate our community.
