On Saturday August 1, the call went out to clean up the neighborhood and the neighbors answered. 70 people showed up with gloves, garbage bags, and picker uppers to clean trash. There were long-time residents, new comers, people who had moved away but came back for this event, college students, highschool students, scouts, and plenty of families with children. Why did we all come out? Because we all love our neighborhood. Thank you Roberto Ramirez and David Guerrero for organzing this and arranging for a garbage truck to pick up all the bags of garbage. Interested in future cleanups? Leave a message at gnnaboard@gmail.com and we will pass along your contact information to the organizers.
